TCSA vs Sprinto. A platform, a services firm, or both.
Sprinto suits cloud-first teams with someone in-house to run compliance in software that monitors controls, collects evidence and covers many frameworks, with the auditor chosen and paid separately. Tranquility Cybersecurity (TCSA) suits teams that want experienced people doing the work alongside them, and the SOC 2 CPA attestation inside one fixed fee. Many companies use both.

Two routes to the same report.
- Sprinto is software. It connects to 300+ tools across cloud, identity, HR and SaaS, monitors controls continuously and collects audit evidence. It says 4,000+ companies use it.[1][3]
- TCSA is a services firm. Since 2017 our consultants and auditors have worked through 1,000+ audits, 300+ of them SOC 2 engagements, writing the policies, building the evidence and sitting with clients in front of their auditors.
- Neither one issues your SOC 2 report. An independent CPA firm does, and Sprinto’s own guides say so. With Sprinto you choose that firm and pay it directly.[7][9] With TCSA we arrange it, and its fee sits inside ours.
- Plenty of companies use both. Sprinto’s plans let you bring your own auditor, and its partner program includes consulting firms.[3][15] We work inside the platform a client already runs.

| Question | Sprinto | Tranquility Cybersecurity (TCSA) |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Compliance and GRC software, which Sprinto calls an “Autonomous Trust Platform”. Founded in 2020, it says 4,000+ companies use it, from Series A to enterprise. It contracts through Sprinto, Inc and an Indian entity, Sprinto Technology Private Limited.[1][2][6] | A compliance and security services firm, at work since 2017, with 1,000+ audits and 300+ SOC 2 engagements across India, the US, the UK, Australia and the UAE. |
| Who does the work | Your team, with the platform doing the collecting. Integrations pull evidence, Sprinto sets up auditor-approved policies and an onboarding manager guides the setup. In its words, “Sprinto sets up the program, you review and approve.”[4] An industry expert supports you through your first audit on one framework.[7] | Our consultants, working with your team. We write your policies, build the evidence your auditor tests and answer their questions in the audit sessions. Your people approve the documents, grant access and make the engineering fixes. |
| What is included | The plans list continuous monitoring across 300+ integrations, automated evidence collection, AI-assisted policies and templates, a public trust center on your own domain, AI questionnaire automation for 20 questionnaires a year and vendor risk tools. Additional frameworks and Professional Services are paid add-ons.[3] | Scoping and readiness assessment, control design, policies written for your environment, evidence preparation, remediation guidance and audit coordination. For SOC 2 the independent CPA attestation and the Type 1 or Type 2 report are included. |
| The auditor | A separate firm that you choose and pay. Pick one from Sprinto’s directory of independent audit firms, 17 when we checked, or bring your own.[3][5] Sprinto says you pay the audit fee directly to the CPA firm, with “no markup or middleman”.[7] | Included for SOC 2. We source and pay an independent, US-licensed CPA firm enrolled in AICPA peer review, and name it before you sign with us, together with its licence number, the state board that issued it, and its current AICPA peer review enrolment. For ISO 27001 an accredited certification body issues the certificate. |
| Penetration testing | Sprinto brings scanner output, VAPT findings and pentest reports into one place.[10] Its SOC 2 guide budgets the test itself as a separate cost of roughly $1,000–2,500, paid to a security testing firm.[8] | We run VAPT and retests, with 10,000+ vulnerabilities found to date. We deliver CERT-In audits, end to end, with our CERT-In empanelled partners. |
| Pricing model | A subscription, “customized based on your requirements”, priced in USD everywhere, with GST on the platform fee in India. Sprinto’s website publishes no price list.[3][7][12] On AWS Marketplace, a Starter Platform for up to 100 employees is listed at $7,500 for 12 months, and the first compliance framework at $2,000.[11] | A fee per engagement, fixed before work starts, with no subscription. SOC 2 Type 1 USD 2,500–5,000 (₹2–3 Lakh) and Type 2 USD 3,000–10,000 (₹3–5 Lakh), attestation included. ISO 27001 year one USD 3,000–6,000 (₹2–4 Lakh), including the certification body’s fee, which the body charges directly. |
| Time to a report | Sprinto’s SOC 2 guide gives 1–2 months for a Type 1 and 4–6 months for a Type 2 with automation, and up to 12 months for a Type 2 with manual work or a complex scope.[8] | 6–8 weeks to audit-ready for SOC 2. The Type 1 report follows. A Type 2 report commonly follows a 3–12 month observation window, on any route. With us, Type 2 takes 14–16 weeks end to end, including the 12-week minimum observation window. |
| Frameworks | 25+ automated out of the box and 200+ digitized. The list runs from SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA and PCI DSS to ISO 42001, the EU AI Act, DORA, NIS 2, UK-GDPR, India’s DPDP Act and RBI SAR.[1][3] | 20+ frameworks, including SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, HIPAA, GDPR, India’s DPDP Act and RBI audits. |
| After the report | Monitoring keeps running. The subscription renews for a term of the same length “at the then prevailing Subscription Charges”, and the audit is paid again.[6][7] | We come back for each year’s re-audit. A SOC 2 renewal is ₹2–3 Lakh (USD 3,500–4,000) a year, attestation included. |
| Best for | Teams with an internal owner for compliance, a cloud-first stack and several frameworks on the roadmap. Sprinto’s own review names growth-stage to enterprise SaaS and says it is best suited to cloud-first environments.[12] Its entry plan, Foundation, is “For startups on their first certification”.[3] | Teams that want experienced people doing the work, one fee that includes the SOC 2 attestation, testing from the firm that prepares the audit, or India’s DPDP and RBI requirements alongside SOC 2 and ISO 27001. |

What Sprinto does well.
These strengths come from Sprinto’s own pages, and they are good reasons to buy it. Software can watch your systems between audits in a way no consultant can.
Monitoring across 300+ integrations
Continuous monitoring and automated evidence collection across 300+ integrations, with AWS, GCP, Azure, Okta, Google Workspace and GitHub among them. Its Dr. Sprinto agent checks staff devices for disk encryption, screen lock and OS status.[3][4][6]
One control set, many frameworks
25+ frameworks automated out of the box and 200+ digitized, from SOC 2 and ISO 27001 to ISO 42001, the EU AI Act, UK-GDPR, India’s DPDP Act and RBI’s payment data storage rules. Controls set up once are reused across them.[1][3][16][17]
Policies and guidance in the box
Ready-to-use, auditor-approved policies matched to your environment, an onboarding manager, “1:1 guidance from ISO-certified lead auditors” and a pre-audit review in which a Sprinto specialist checks your evidence against the auditor’s request list.[4][7][18]
A choice of auditors
A directory of independent audit firms familiar with the platform, 17 when we checked, CPA firms and ISO certification bodies among them. Or bring your own auditor on either plan.[3][5]

What a Sprinto subscription leaves to others.
Sprinto is open about each of these, and none is unusual for a platform. They matter when you set a software quote beside a services quote, or plan whose hours the work will take.
- The audit. Sprinto’s terms say auditors “always act independently” and that Sprinto “only facilitates an online platform”.[6] Its cost guide says you pay the audit fee directly to the CPA firm.[7] Its auditors guide adds that the audit opinion must come from an independent licensed CPA or AICPA-accredited firm.[9]
- The penetration test. Sprinto manages findings from tests and scanners.[10] Its SOC 2 guide lists the test as a separate cost, roughly $1,000–2,500, paid to a security testing firm.[8]
- Hands-on help beyond the first framework. Implementation support for one framework comes with the subscription.[7] Professional Services is a paid add-on, with no published price.[3]
- A virtual CISO or DPO. Sprinto’s pricing page does not list a vCISO or vDPO service.[3]
- Your team’s time. Sprinto’s cost figures cover “invoiced costs only, not your team’s time”.[7] Its own blog posts note a learning curve for teams new to compliance automation, extra integration effort for legacy or on-premise systems, and configuration for advanced enterprise cases.[12][13]
TCSA does not issue SOC 2 reports either. An independent CPA firm does, on every route. What changes is who arranges that firm, who pays it and whose hours go into the preparation. Our guide to what SOC 2 automation actually automates draws that line in detail.

What the money buys on each route.
Sprinto’s figures are its AWS Marketplace list prices and its own estimates of the market. Ours are indicative bands, fixed before work starts. Read the rows, not only the totals.
| Line item | With Sprinto | With TCSA |
|---|---|---|
| Software | A subscription, quote-based and in USD. On AWS Marketplace, $7,500 for 12 months for up to 100 employees, plus $2,000 for the first compliance framework.[7][11][13] | None. If you already run a platform, we work inside it. |
| Readiness work | Your team, with Sprinto’s automation and templates. Implementation support for one framework is included, with no separate retainer. Professional Services beyond that is a paid add-on with no published price.[3][7] | Included in our fee. |
| SOC 2 audit | Paid directly to the CPA firm. Sprinto estimates $2,000–3,000 at up to 50 employees through a platform’s network, and in India an audit fee “from about $2,000”.[7] | Included. Type 1 USD 2,500–5,000 (₹2–3 Lakh), Type 2 USD 3,000–10,000 (₹3–5 Lakh), all-in. |
| Penetration test | A separate line in Sprinto’s SOC 2 budget, roughly $1,000–2,500 for one application, paid to a security testing firm.[8] | A service we run. Ask for it in the same quote if your auditor or customer expects one. |
| Sprinto’s worked example | A 40-person SaaS company’s first Type 2, year one: $9,000–13,000 in total, made of platform $6,000–8,000, audit $2,000–2,500 and penetration test $1,000–2,500. Sprinto labels its bands as estimates across Sprinto and other platforms, and says they apply outside the United States too.[7] | A Type 2 with us is USD 3,000–10,000 (₹3–5 Lakh), attestation included, plus a penetration test if one is needed. |
| Years two and three | The subscription renews at the then prevailing charges and the audit is paid again. Sprinto estimates the same 40-person company’s renewal at about $8,000–10,500 a year.[6][7] | The SOC 2 re-audit is ₹2–3 Lakh (USD 3,500–4,000) a year, attestation included. |
Sprinto’s guide also prices a “consultant-led” route at $15,000–25,000 below 200 employees, and defines it as a consultant charging $10,000 or more for preparation, with the CPA firm engaged separately.[7] Our model, with the attestation inside one fee, is not one of the routes it prices, so set our bands beside its platform totals rather than that figure.
The rows matter more than the totals. Sprinto’s subscription buys continuous monitoring, a trust center and a framework library that our fee does not include. Our fee buys people doing the preparation and the SOC 2 attestation, which its subscription does not. The three-year arithmetic is in SOC 2 total cost of ownership, and our bands for every framework are on the pricing page.

When each one fits.
When to choose Sprinto
- Someone at your company owns compliance and will work in the platform between audits.
- Your stack is cloud-first, which is where Sprinto’s own review says it fits best.[12]
- Several frameworks sit on a dated roadmap, and you want one control set behind them.
- You want monitoring, a trust center and questionnaire automation running all year.
- You would rather choose and contract your own auditor.
When to choose TCSA
- No one owns compliance yet, and your engineers are needed on the product.
- You want one fee, fixed before work starts, that includes the SOC 2 attestation and carries no subscription.
- You want penetration testing from the team that prepares your audit.
- Privacy work such as India’s DPDP Act or GDPR is a large part of the job. Sprinto’s own review calls it “Not a dedicated privacy management platform”.[12]
- You already run Sprinto and want experienced hands on what it flags.
If the answer is still unclear, the deciding variables are set out in compliance platform vs consultant and do you need SOC 2 software.

Sprinto and TCSA, working together.
Sprinto supports this setup itself. Its plans include bring your own auditor,[3] and its SPARK partner program has Consulting Partners who “pair board-grade insight with Sprinto’s automated platform”.[15]
- Sprinto does the watching. Integrations pull evidence, checks flag drift between audits and the trust center answers buyers.
- We do the human work. Scoping, policies written to how you actually operate, help closing what the checks flag, penetration testing and preparing your team for the auditor.
- The auditor stays independent. Keep a firm from Sprinto’s directory, or let us bring an independent CPA firm as your own auditor. Either way, the firm that audits you is not the one that prepared you.
- You pay for both, knowingly. A subscription and a services fee. The pairing earns its keep when the platform is already in place, when someone internal will use it between audits, or when several frameworks justify the licence on their own.
